The paramotor is a machine from the ULM (ultra light motorized) family. It is composed of a sail designed on the basis of a paraglider and a propeller motor protected by a cage and fixed on a chassis. Everything is carried on the back to be able to take off while running or placed on a cart to be able to take off while rolling. The paramotor allows you to take off on flat ground. No need for a slope like for a paraglider. Thanks to its engine, it can fly level (flight at the same altitude) and can therefore cover a lot of distance. Everyone can enjoy this break in the air without any risk of dizziness. The explanation in very simple terms, dizziness can only occur if the body is in contact with the ground. It occurs, at height, in a context of discordance between the information arriving at the level of the inner ears and that recorded by vision. While the brain registers, through the sensations of the feet, that the body is standing on something firm – a stepladder, a bridge – the eyes transmit the information that the latter is in a vacuum. Hence the discomfort, in the form of dizziness.

THE PILOT INSTRUCTOR

Aged 32, Thomas began with paragliding courses and flights in the French Alps in 2010. He then discovered paramotoring, by chance, in his native region of Yvelines, west of Paris. Passionate about flying and bike and motorcycle mechanics, he enrolled in a school and trained in paramotoring in 2013. He flies a lot and gains experience very quickly. He then discovered the competition in 2016 where he participated in the French championship and finished second in the ranking. He then joined the friendly French Paramotor team in the single-seater trolley category and was selected to participate in the World Paramotor Championship in England where he finished 1st in his category winning this 2016 Championship in single-seater trolley WORLD CHAMPION! He will continue the competition within the French team in the foot takeoff category which will take him to fly in the Czech Republic, Thailand and other countries around the world. Since then, he has wanted to share his passion and his vision of the world through the air.
